Our Methodology

How Adil Kasih Approaches Every Matter

Each legal matter is worked through in stages, with clients informed and involved at every point along the way.

1

Initial Consultation

A thorough first conversation to understand the full circumstances without rushing to conclusions.

2

Assessment and Advice

Clear written advice on the legal position and the options available, with fees confirmed before any work proceeds.

3

Representation or Facilitation

Active support through the relevant process — whether that is mediation sessions, document preparation, or court appearances.

4

Resolution and Follow-Through

Ensuring that any agreement or order is properly documented, and that clients understand what it means for their situation going forward.

Family conflict mediation

Service One

Family Conflict Mediation

MYR 730

Structured mediation sessions for families managing disagreements that have not yet entered the court system — covering inheritance disputes among siblings, parenting disagreements between separated partners, and care arrangements for elderly relatives. The advisor maintains neutrality throughout, prepares written summaries of any points agreed, and supports informal settlement where it is appropriate and acceptable to all parties.

What Is Included

  • Up to three structured mediation sessions
  • Written summary of agreed points after each session
  • Genuinely neutral facilitation — no steering toward a particular outcome
  • Support for informal settlement documentation

Process Steps

  1. 1Preliminary discussion with each party separately to understand the nature of the dispute
  2. 2Joint mediation sessions with both parties present and the mediator facilitating structured dialogue
  3. 3Drafting and distribution of session summaries following each meeting
  4. 4Documentation of any agreed settlement in appropriate written form

Service Two

Adoption Process Counsel

MYR 850

Considered legal support for couples and individuals pursuing formal adoption under the Adoption Act 1952 or the Registration of Adoptions Act 1952. The advisor explains the procedural pathway in plain terms, prepares the required documentation, liaises with welfare officers throughout the process, and represents the client through any court attendances. The pace is set with care for the emotional weight of the process.

What Is Included

  • Full procedural pathway explanation at the outset
  • Preparation and review of all required documentation
  • Liaison with the relevant welfare department
  • Court attendance and representation as required

Process Steps

  1. 1Initial assessment to determine the applicable Act and eligibility requirements
  2. 2Document preparation — identity documents, financial statements, welfare assessment coordination
  3. 3Submission of application and follow-up with the relevant authorities
  4. 4Court attendance and finalisation of the adoption order

Service Three

Custody Variation & Access Arrangements

MYR 1,420

Representation for parents seeking variation of existing custody orders, including modification of access schedules, relocation applications, and adjustments responding to changing circumstances. The advisor places the welfare of the children at the centre of every submission, and works throughout to maintain civil, constructive communication between the parents involved.

What Is Included

  • Review of the existing custody or access order
  • Assessment of the grounds for variation
  • Preparation and filing of the variation application
  • Court representation throughout the hearing process

Process Steps

  1. 1Review of the existing order and gathering of relevant supporting evidence
  2. 2Drafting of the variation application with clear grounds stated
  3. 3Filing and service of documents on the other party
  4. 4Court attendance and advocacy focused on the children's welfare
